Mounting, Matting and Framing
Now that you have gone to the trouble to have your image archivally printed. The container for that image should also have the same consideration paid to it. I believe that the focal point should remain on the image so I only carry one framing product that encloses and protects your work.
I use acid free 4-ply mount and matte board and the frame is 1x1 black wood frame. The amount of matting used is based on personal preference. I use regular clear glass and a dust cover is put on the back of the piece. I don't use plexiglass because sometimes mistakes are made and even though you think you have outgassed plex it isn't and you don't find out until it's to late. Result, a ruined expensive print. If you are looking for something more elaborate I do have professional frame shops I can recommend. The prices I charge are very reasonable for a simple archivally framed piece.
